Design & Print Business Edition distributed by Avanquest is designed to allow you to create brochures, newsletters, flyers, business cards and more in a short amount of time. You can customize the background design and color of your print projects with one easy click.

Ease of Use:  

Even though Design & Print Business Edition is not the most difficult print software program to use, it’s not the easiest either. We experienced difficulties with the program whenever we tried to access help. At times we had to manually shut down the program because it had locked up.

One of the features we really liked with the control panel is the ability to change your background design by simply choosing a new design and color directly from the control panel.

Feature Set:  

Design & Print Business Edition has some unique features. You can add a variety of OLE (Object Linking and Embedding) objects, including Adobe Photoshop Elements images, math equations, Excel worksheets, video clips, audio clips and more.

Design & Print Business Edition doesn’t offer as many options as our top-ranked products do, but they do offer enough to allow you create some very nice projects.

Graphic/Image Tools:  

Design & Print Business Edition does offer the greatest access to images and clipart, but there is a catch. The five million photos and clipart images are available via a third party supplier—clipart.com—and you only receive one month free. You also need to visit clipart. com and download the images and clipart to your hard-drive; you can’t simply connect and import directly to the program.

Text Tools:  

The text tools provided with Design & Print Business Edition are one of its strongest features. Even though you don’t have the same abilities as our higher-ranked print software programs, you can add a gradient to text, add shadows and warp the text into different shapes.

Help/Support:  

It was very difficult to get help and support with Design & Print Business Edition. We received an error whenever we tried accessing the help content, even though once clicking past the error we did access the help content.

Summary:  

Overall, Design & Print Business Edition is a fair print software program that provides enough tools to create some nice print projects. The tools and images included in the program need improvement, however.
